The event will take place on the College’s main campus on Saturday, February 18 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in the lobby of Building A. Those planning to attend York Tech or another college/university are welcome to attend.
“This event provides students with great guidance and financial aid information that will apply to any institution,” stated Tim Mention, Financial Aid Counselor at York Tech. “We understand that completing the FAFSA may be stressful for families which is why we’re happy to offer this event and our services to the community.” College Goal South Carolina is supported by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and funded by The National College Access Network.
York Technical College will have counselors available to answer financial aid questions while also guiding individuals through the FAFSA. College Goal SC participants should bring the following documents:
- Social security number
- Alien registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen
- Most recent (2015) federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of income earned
- Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
- Federal Student Aid ID to sign electronically
