Child Development Center
Thank you for your interest in the Child Development Center at York Technical College.
The Child Development Center (CDC) is a training laboratory for York Technical College students in the Early
Childhood Development programs of study. We provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment for
children six weeks through five years of age.
If you are interested in enrollment opportunities, please click here to print out an application. There is a non-refundable $25 application fee, made payable to YTC/CDC, to complete the application process.
The Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The CDC has been accredited by the NAEYC since 1990. Our current re-accreditation is valid through August, 2013. This national accreditation ensures that the CDC is consistently meeting the highest standards in regards to teacher qualifications, teacher-to-child ratios and best education practices for young children.
The CDC is operational from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A listing of holiday closings and tuition charges are listed in our online calendar. Teacher training is important, so the CDC is closed one day in the spring semester and one day in the fall semester for teacher in-service work days. In the event of inclement weather or emergencies, the CDC's operational hours are consistent with the schedule for York Technical College.
Please return your completed application form and $25 application fee to York Technical College, Child Development Center, 452 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29730.
