Columbia College and York Technical College Partner To Offer Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program

ROCK HILL Columbia College and York Technical College announced a new partnership today to better serve students pursuing four-year degrees. Columbia College President Elizabeth A. Dinndorf and York Technical College President Greg F. Rutherford signed an agreement allowing York Technical College students to build on their two-year degree and obtain a bachelor’s degree from the Columbia College.

Faculty from Columbia College will teach the courses on the York Tech campus beginning in the fall of 2014. Degree programs will be offered in leadership and professional communication as well as health communication. The program will be offered in a hybrid format (online and traditional classes) to make the program convenient for working adults.

“Columbia College is proud to partner with York Technical College to offer students a pathway to continue their education and complete a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College,” said President Beth Dinndorf. “The partnership provides a convenient opportunity for adult students to advance in their careers.”

“York Technical College and Columbia College both share a strong commitment to student success and providing avenues for the citizens of our state to cultivate the skills needed to enter and thrive in the workforce. Being able to offer adults in the York, Chester and Lancaster Counties access to the Columbia College program is a win-win for our students, employers, and the community,” President Dr. Greg F. Rutherford said.
