York Tech Welcomes New EVP, Dr. Moore

York Technical College welcomes Dr. Stacey Moore as the new Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.

Dr. Stacey Moore joined York Technical College on February 15, 2016 as the Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. Dr. Moore most recently served as the Associate Vice President for Student Success at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. She comes to York Tech with a strong, higher education background and brings a wealth of leadership experience in academic and student affairs.MooreHeadshotColleagues have already enjoyed several opportunities within the first few to meet with Dr. Moore as she has eagerly reached out to build relationships across the many departments and divisions on campus.

“This is a great college with such strong values. The intense focus employees have on our students is undeniable, you can feel that energy”, stated Dr. Moore. “It is imperative that we work together as a team to evaluate and assess completion rates as this is not a York Technical College problem, it’s national.”

Dr. Moore will be spearheading leadership efforts for academic and student affairs that will focus on the retention and completion of York Tech students.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Moore is now a part of the York Tech family. Although she has only been here for a short period of time, she is already having a transformational impact at the College”, Greg Rutherford, President of York Technical College commented. “We look forward to her leadership and continued success in strengthening and expanding our academic and student affairs programs”.

Moore holds a Ph.D. and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Akron and a B.S. Psychology from Eckerd College.
