Enterprise Zone Retraining Program
The Enterprise Zone
Retraining Program is a State supported incentive program administrated by
the South Carolina Technical College System to assist qualified
manufacturing companies in retraining its employee to
remain competitive and to introduce new
technologies. This program provides reimbursement of $1.00
for every $1.50 in training costs claimed for up to $1000 per
eligible employee per year.
Apprenticeship Carolina
Apprenticeships are an earn while
you learn training model that combines
structured on the job training, job related education, and a
scalable wage progression. Apprenticeship Carolina™ works to
ensure all employers in South Carolina have access to the
information and technical assistance they need to create
demand-driven registered apprenticeship programs.

The mission of readySC is to
promote the economic and workforce development of the state of SC by
providing customized training for new and expanding business and
industry. This training is provided at little or no cost to
qualifying companies.

FutureMakers

The SC Manufacturers Alliance has
created a comprehensive marketing campaign called “SC FutureMakers”
centered on a website and a series of
educational videos featuring young people currently involved
in apprenticeships and careers within South
Carolina-based manufacturing companies. Included is
a free online platform that connects students to
colleges and companies looking to connect with the next
generation of talent in the areas of Science, Technology,
Engineering and Math. Students sign up, build
digital portfolios showcasing their skills and
talents, and get directly connected to opportunities
in higher education and the workforce.
